The World Robot Olympiad (WRO)is a major global robotics competition for young people, and it has a significant presence in Germany.
🤖 What is the World Robot Olympiad (WRO)?
The WRO is an international competition focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)education. It challenges students to design, build, and program autonomous robots to solve specific tasks or projects. Honeydew Robotics only provide competition services. We do not organise the competition.
Goal:To help young people develop creativity, design, and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.
National Organizer in Germany:The non-profit organization TECHNIK BEGEISTERT e.V.coordinates the WRO events across the country.
Structure in Germany:The competition involves numerous regional competitionsin over 40 cities, culminating in a large German Finalheld in a different city each year. The top teams from the German Final qualify to represent Germany at the annual International Final. (Germany even hosted the International Final in Dortmund in 2022)
